Fashion for Life 17 - Better than ever! We raised £24,500

Well that’s it for Fashion for Life 17! We had another fabulous night. Almost a full house at the Villa, were tapping their feet, clapping their hands and cheering at the spectacle put together again by Sonia Callin. The live David Holland band went down a storm with singers Claire Manning and Lois Mooney fronting them for some of the 60’s songs. Gary Chatel and his dancers gave it the cabaret feel and Dot and Geoff, well what can I say...... what a laugh! Their Delilah sketch brought the house down!

Thank you to our main sponsor Wi-Manx, Aston International, VINO and Shoprite for their support. And of course all the people who gave their services free of charge. When we know how much we have raised, I’ll be back, but it’s looking even better than 2015!
Also a big thank you to  Breast Cancer NOW for joining us. We made a great partnership. See you in October 2019!!

£18,278!  raised from our

10th anniversary Fashion Show 2015

Sharon Maddrell, Chair of Isle of Man Breast Care, thanked Lasenby Knox, M&S and Shoprite for supporting the event, and the show’s audience of over 1,000 who made it a night to remember. She added: ‘What a night, the whole of the Royal Hall was buzzing. We were as usual terrified before stepping out onto the catwalk but the crowd cheered and encouraged us on so much, it was amazing. There were a lot of tears backstage at first, they quickly turned to excitement and pure joy. Along with our main sponsors, I’d like to thank everyone who had a part in helping us to stage the show: Xela Holdings, Agrimark, Heron & Brearley who sponsored the pre-show Cocktail Party, Mainstream Marketing & Communications, Salon Enigma, Wendy Bell, Douglas Corporation Parks and Gardens, A3 Marquees, Gary Weightman and Bill Quayle for the fabulous photos and all the other generous people who gave their time and services free of charge - we are always amazed at the generosity of the people on the Island. Now time to start planning 2017!’

This year’s show raised an incredible £18,278 for the charity with £4,850 raised from raffle money alone which takes the total that the event has raised since 2005 to more than £78,000.

Lasenby Knox Managing Director Steve Locking added: ‘Lasenby Knox, and our employees, have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such an extra special event.  We are honoured to be supporting a great local charity, who provide an active local support network to people and their loved ones at a time when they really need it.  The funds raised will help Sharon and her team continue to help local families during a difficult and emotional period of their lives.  Well done to all involved, we hope the charity continues to go from strength to strength.’

All funds raised help the charity to provide emotional and financial support for breast cancer patients and their families. The charity also works closely with the Breast Clinic at Noble’s Hospital and referrals are often made for patients who may benefit from support from Isle of Man Breast Care.
